The Vidash Impact Foundation has officially commissioned a 12-seater public toilet facility for the people of Assin Kruwah in the Central Region, reaffirming its commitment to promoting public health, improving sanitation, and supporting sustainable community development.
The commissioning ceremony brought together the Honourable Assembly Members, Traditional Authorities, Religious Leaders, representatives of government and partner organizations, and members of the Assin Kruwah community to celebrate this important milestone.
Speaking at the event on behalf of the Foundation, the Guest Speaker emphasized that the project represents more than the construction of a public facility it is a long-term investment in the health, dignity, and well-being of the people.
“This facility is not just a building; it is a symbol of hope, progress, and our shared responsibility to create healthier and cleaner communities. Access to safe sanitation is a basic human need and an essential foundation for sustainable development.”
The Foundation noted that inadequate sanitation remains a major challenge in many communities, contributing to preventable diseases and environmental pollution. The newly commissioned toilet facility is expected to improve hygiene standards, reduce open defecation, and provide residents with access to safe and dignified sanitation services.
